Brazilian President: Netanyahu’s government committed genocide in Gaza

NEW YORK, Sept. 23 (YPA) – Brazilian President Lula da Silva during the 81st session of the UN General Assembly, on Wednesday, said that the United Nations has failed in its most important task, which is saving humanity from the scourge of war, and that its credibility is at its lowest point and the Security Council’s impotence has made everyone hostages.

 

He added that last year saw the highest number of conflicts since World War II, and that war is a breakdown of politics.

 

He stressed that Palestinians will carry for generations the pain and trauma of “the genocide committed by Netanyahu’s government against women and children in Gaza,” and that illegal settlements in the West Bank are making the two-state solution more difficult day by day, calling for UN Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese not to be silenced because she spoke the truth.
