Palestinian Journalist Hassan Hamad killed in Israeli shelling of Jabaliya refugee camp

GAZA, Oct. 06 (YPA) -Palestinian journalist Hassan Hamad was killed after his home was targeted in an Israeli airstrike on Jabaliya camp in the northern Gaza Strip.

Press sources reported that journalist Hassan Hamad was killed when his home was struck by an artillery shell in Jabaliya.

His body arrived at Kamal Adwan Hospital in the northern Gaza Strip in pieces.

In his last message sent to a group of journalists shortly before his martyrdom, Hassan Hamad spoke about the targeting of the Al-Riyad Al-Salihien Mosque and the advancing sounds of enemy machinery, along with the displacement of citizens in Jabaliya camp.

With the martyrdom of Hassan Hamad, the number of journalists martyred in the Gaza Strip has risen to 175 since the start of the genocide against Gaza one year ago on October 7, 2023.
