Lebanon files complaint to Security Council against Israeli occupation

BEIRUT, Sept. 17 (YPA) – The Lebanese Mission to the United Nations filed a complaint to the Security Council after the Israeli occupation targeted a civil defense vehicle in the town of Froun -Nabatieh district, which led to the death of four civil defense personnel who were on a mission to extinguish a fire sparked by Israeli shelling.

Lebanon strongly condemned in the complaint it submitted the repeated, deliberate and unjustified inhumane Israeli attacks on relief and ambulance workers, health centres and hospitals, which constitute a flagrant violation of human rights, international law and international humanitarian law.

The mission called on the member states of the Security Council to condemn these crimes, hold “Israel” accountable, and pressure it by all means to abide by international laws and norms.
