New disaster suffocates citizens in Aden

ADEN, June 02 (YPA) – A new disaster has appeared in Aden Governorate, causing citizens to suffocate in the city, which is suffering from a number of intertwined crises as a result of the economic collapse, the most prominent of which is the absence of electricity service.

The people of Crater city denounced the continued besiegement of their homes with sewage water that invaded residential neighborhoods and secondary and public streets, without taking any measures from the competent authorities.

They reported that they had been living for a long time suffering from an overflow of the sewage, with diseases and epidemics increasing in conjunction with the spread of watery diarrheal disease “cholera” in the city, stressing that it had become a threat to their health and the safety of their children, according to Aden Al- Ghad.

They also explained that the Al- Salam residential neighborhood had turned into a swamp of wastewater that emits unpleasant odors and the disgusting scenes disturb their daily lives. They indicated that they had submitted many complaints and claims to authorities of Crater and Khor Maksar districts during the past year, but with no avail.
