GAZA, May 17 (YPA) – The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees in the Near East (UNRWA) said that over 630,000 people have been forced to flee the area since the Israeli military offensive on the city of Rafah started on May 6.
“Over 630,000 people have been forced to flee the area since the Israeli military offensive on the city of Rafah started on May 6,” UNRWA wrote in a post on its X account.
“Many have sought refuge in Deir al-Balah, which is now unbearably overcrowded with dire conditions,” UNRWA added.
The UN organization indicated that the residents of the Gaza Strip are still being subjected to forced displacement due to the ongoing Israeli war for more than seven months.
