First southern component joins protests in Aden

ADEN, May 13 (YPA) – A southern political component announced on Monday its participation in angry protests taking place in the city of Aden, which is under the control of  Saudi-led coalition, for the second consecutive day, condemning economic collapse and power outage in the city.

Fuad Rashid, the Chairman of the Supreme Council of the Southern Revolutionary Movement, in a post on his X account, called on leaders and popular bases to participate in the popular rejection of the tragic reality in Aden, affirming his support for demands of the citizens.

“The people are facing a group of “thieves” who plunder its wealth and revenues in exchange for slogans they fundamentally do not believe in,”  he said, referring to the leaders of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC).

He indicated that Aden has been witnessing  worst service conditions due to the economic collapse and the complete power outage .
