PARIS, Feb. 10 (YPA) – A huge fire broke out on Saturday at the Chinon Nuclear Power Plant in France, and two nuclear reactors temporarily stopped operating, according to France Bleu radio.
The radio reported that the operation of the two reactors has been stopped until further notice.
It indicated that the fire broke out in Reactor No. 3, where the main transformer caught fire.
The radio added that the fire was put out, and there is no threat to the population or the environment, because the accident occurred “outside the nuclear zone.”
