Death toll from Zionist aggression on Gaza mounts to 26,637 martyrs

GAZA, Jan. 29 (YPA) – About 26,637 Palestinians in Gaza have been martyred as a result of the Zionist bombing on the residential areas of Gaza Strip, Gaza-based ministry of health said on Monday.

Ministry’s spokesman, Ashraf Al-Qudra, confirmed in a press statement that the occupation committed 14 massacres during the past 24 hours, martyring 215 and wounding 300 others.

For its part, the Palestinian Red Crescent reported that the surgery department at Al Amal Hospital had completely stopped working due to the depletion of oxygen supplies.

The Gaza Municipality reported that it is still unable to provide basic services to citizens due to the fuel outage and the destruction of most vehicles.

Despite the enormous human suffering in Gaza, several countries have suspended their aid to UNRWA, which prompted the agency’s Commissioner-General, Philippe Lazzarini, to call on the countries that made the decision to reconsider, stressing that it “threatens humanitarian work in the region, especially in the Gaza Strip.”

In addition, the United Nations Special Rapporteur concerned with Palestine, Francesca Albanese, said on a post on the “X” platform on Sunday that the countries’ suspension of funding for the “UNRWA” agency came the day after the decision of the International Court of Justice, which indicated that “Israel” is committing genocide in the Gaza Strip.
