Relatively cold weather anticipated to sweep various provinces of Yemen

SANAA, Jan. 25 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology has anticipated cold to relatively cold weather in a number of provinces of Yemen.

In its weather bulletin on Thursday, the center stated that the cold weather may target the provinces of Saada, Amran, Sanaa, Dhamar, Bayda and Dhalea, Ibb, Taiz, Lahj, Abyan, Shabwa, deserts and plateaus of Hadramout and Mahra.

It indicated the possibility of moderate to active winds, ranging in speed between 12-25 knots, south of the western coast, the entrance to Bab al-Mandab, and around the Socotra Archipelago.

The center alerted citizens, especially the elderly, children and patients in mountainous areas, inland plateaus and deserts, to take the necessary precautions against cold weather.
