STC factions storm citizens’ homes in Abyan’s Shoqra city

ABYAN, Nov. 29 (YPA) – Gunmen of the pro-UAE factions stormed on Wednesday a number of citizens’ homes in the coastal city of Shoqra, south of Abyan province, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition.

Local sources in the city reported that elements affiliated with the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions raided a number of homes of local activists in Shaqra on charges of incitement against the council, coinciding with the anniversary of the independence of South Yemen from the British occupation on November 30, 1967.

The factions’ militants took a number of citizens to the STC’s private prisons, in a campaign of raids that is the second since the beginning of this November.
