Syria warns against continued Zionist attacks

DAMASCUS, Oct. 23 (YPA) – Syrian’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates affirmed that the persistence of the Israeli occupation entity in its criminal attacks is further evidence of its defeat and the increasing hysteria it feels as a result of Syria’s steadfastness in the face of all attempts to weaken it and divert it from its approach of supporting the Palestinian people to liberate their land.

“For the third time in a row and within about one week, at 5:25 a.m. on Sunday, October 22, the usurping Zionist entity launched an air aggression with bursts of missiles from the direction of the Mediterranean Sea and the occupied Syrian Golan, targeting Damascus and Aleppo International Airports, which led to the martyrdom of a civilian, the injury of another, and the infliction of material damage to the runways of the two airports, which led to them being out of service again after they were repaired following the recent aggression and the resumption of civilian air traffic in them,” The ministry said in a statement on Sunday.

The ministry added: “Israel’s persistence in its criminal attacks is further evidence of its defeat and the hysteria is increased due to Syria’s steadfastness in the face of all attempts made by “Israel” and terrorist forces to weaken and divert it from its approach of supporting the Palestinians to liberate their land, and Syria’s insistence to restore occupied Syrian Golan and its endure of unilateral coercive measures imposed by Western countries on the Syrian people as well as all Israel’s crimes constitute war crimes against humanity during its devastating war against the people of Gaza.

“Israel’s sponsors have proven once again over the past days that international law and its covenants for them are a tool that they exploit to achieve their colonial plans to target any country under false claims,” the ministry said.

The Ministry concluded that the Syrian Arab Republic warns of the consequences of continuing these attacks and practices that violate international humanitarian law, which would plunge the region into a wider spiral of violence.
