Press conference on catastrophic humanitarian situation of Palestinian people held in Sanaa

SANAA, Oct. 19 (YPA) – Ministries of Human Rights, Social Affairs and Labor and civil society organizations organized on Thursday in Sanaa a press conference on the catastrophic humanitarian situation of Palestinian people in the occupied territories, under the slogan “You are not alone.”

In the press conference, the Minister of Human Rights in the caretaker government, Ali Hussein Al-Dailami, saluted the steadfastness of the Palestinian children, women, elderly, people and resistance in the face of the Zionist killing machine and the usurping enemy.

Al-Dailami urged local organizations to play their role in monitoring and documenting the crimes of the Zionist enemy against the residents of Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, and moving to put pressure on the international community to stop the Israeli aggression against the Gaza Strip.

He considered the “Al-Aqsa Flood” an operation that awakened the human conscience of the peoples of the Arab and Islamic world and restored respect for the right to defend oneself, land, and honor.

The Minister of Human Rights compared the crimes that have happened in Yemen over the past nine years to what is happening today in Palestine.

He affirmed that America is an essential partner in the crimes committed by the usurping entity in Palestine and the Gaza Strip, denouncing the silence of the United Nations and its shameful positions on the violations against the Palestinian people.

Al-Dailami expressed regret for the positions of some regimes that naturalized relations with the Zionist occupation.

At the conference, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor, Ali Al-Razami, affirmed support for the Palestinian people and resistance against the usurping Zionist entity, condemning the Zionist crimes and the war of extermination against the Palestinian people in Gaza and the occupied territories.

Al-Razami called on the international community and the International Criminal Court in particular to open an investigation into the crimes committed by the Zionist enemy and hold it accountable.

For his part, the representative of the Hamas movement in Yemen, Moath Abu Shamala, expressed his thanks to the Yemeni people, leadership, and government for their honorable positions towards the Palestinian people.

Abu Shamala stated that the Zionist enemy launched a military campaign to restore its image, which was destroyed by the “Al-Aqsa Flood” operation, using open and unlimited American support and taking advantage of the bias of Western countries.

He confirmed the Palestinian people’s adherence to resistance as an effective tool for seizing Palestinian rights, defeating the occupation, and establishing an independent state with Al-Quds as its capital.

The Hamas representative touched on America’s failure to close the page on the Palestinian issue after the expansion of normalization in the Arab world, calling on the international community to open the crossings to bring in humanitarian, medical and food relief convoys and to transfer the wounded to receive the necessary treatment.

Meanwhile, civil society organizations, in a speech delivered on behalf of the organizations by the head of the Ain Al-Husnia Center for Rights and Development, Ahmed Abu Hamra, condemned the war crimes and genocide committed by the Zionist occupation against the Palestinian people.

A statement issued by the press conference confirmed that the battle of “Al-Aqsa Flood” is a legitimate right for the Palestinian people to defend themselves, their land, and their sanctities.

The statement saluted the people of Gaza and Palestine for their rejection of displacement from their land, calling for immediate international action to ensure the supply of electricity, water and basic needs in Gaza and to lift the illegal Zionist siege imposed on the Strip since 2006.

The statement urged the Arab and Islamic governments and peoples to take effective steps towards the American organizations, companies and agencies that support the Zionist entity present in their countries and to close them and prevent their activities by boycotting their goods, and continue angry marches and demonstrations denouncing the collusion of the international community and the puppet regimes with the usurping entity.
