Sanaa condemns massacre of Gaza hospital by Zionist forces

SANAA, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The Foreign Ministry in Sanaa has reiterated its strong condemnation of the Zionist aggression on Gaza and the war crimes committed by the occupying entity against the Palestinian people.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, the Foreign Ministry condemned the massacre carried out by the Zionist enemy through the bombing of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital, resulting in the death of over 500 civilians, including children and women, and injuring hundreds more.

It emphasized that since October 7, the Zionist entity has been committing war crimes against humanity that shame humanity itself. This includes targeting civilians, and civilian infrastructure, imposing blockades, collective punishment, and forced displacement. This constitutes a flagrant violation of all international norms, in the face of an eerie silence from the international community and Western complicity led by the United States.

The statement expressed deep regret for the disgraceful stance of several Arab and Islamic countries and their abandonment of the Palestinian people. It called on those nations to heed the voices of the Arab and Islamic peoples who stand by the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

The Foreign Ministry noted that the continued Zionist aggression on Gaza will have negative repercussions on regional and global security and stability. It held the Zionist entity and its supporting nations responsible for this.

The statement also renewed its support for the Al-Aqsa Flood Operation against the Zionist occupation entity and reaffirmed the legitimate right of the Palestinian people to self-defense, defending their land and holy sites, as guaranteed by all international norms and agreements.

The statement called on Arab and Islamic countries and all free people of the world to stand with the Palestinian people in their struggle for liberation and to support them through all possible means. It urged the countries that have normalized relations with the Zionist entity to reconsider their stance, as it is a grave betrayal of the central Arab cause and a primary motivator for the Zionists to commit these atrocities.

Furthermore, the statement called on the international community, especially the United Nations Security Council, to fulfill its responsibilities in protecting the Palestinian people, restoring their usurped rights, and putting an end to the brutal crimes of the Zionist entity that threaten security and stability in the region and the world.

The Foreign Ministry emphasized Yemen’s solidarity, from its leadership, government, and people, with the Palestinian people in their confrontation with the Zionist aggression and their legitimate right to self-defense and liberation from the occupation, and the establishment of their independent state.
