IED’s attacks target STC militias in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 24 (YPA) – About five improvised explosive devices (IEDs) targeted on military vehicles belonging to the pro-UAE factions in Modiyah district of Abyan province, south of Yemen.

Local sources said the devices were exploded at the entrance to “Wadi Al-Rada” in Omran area, which led to killing and wounding several militants.

This new development comes amid a state of tension prevailing among the Abyan tribes after the Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions, after UAE transferred military forces from Aden to redeploy them in Abyan.
