Protestors in Abyan demand expulsion of STC

ABYAN, Sept. 18 (YPA) – Angry popular protests hit Abyan province, southern Yemen, demanding the expulsion of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s factions from the province.

Demonstrators of Saturday’s protests in the Yafa area of Abyan chanted slogans demanding the departure of STC members. They also accused the head of STC, Aidarous al-Zoubaidi of being behind the insecurity in the province

The protesters demanded better living conditions and the restoration of state institutions which are under the control of the Saudi-led coalition factions.
