SANAA, Oct. 12 (YPA) – The spokesperson for the Sanaa government, Dr. Omar Al-Bukhaiti, condemned a Saudi strike on a residential home in the Bab Sha’oub neighborhood of the capital, saying that the attack killed a child, injured six other people, and caused extensive property damage.
In a statement issued on Sunday, al-Bukhaiti described the attack as an act of genocide intended to wipe out an entire Yemeni family.
He said that the incident took place in a densely populated area and constituted a crime that should not be subject to a statute of limitations.
Al-Bukhaiti stressed that Saudi Arabia is repeatedly targeting civilians during 12 years of aggression against Yemen.
He also criticized UN organizations for their silence over such incidents, affirming they are failing to condemn the attacks.
He added that, despite the attacks, the Yemeni people would remain determined to confront the ongoing aggression, break the blockade, and achieve full independence.
