LAHJ, Sept. 09 (YPA) – Dozens of citizens, including 25 teachers, were arrested on Saturday by the Islah militants in Al-Maqatra district of Lahj province, southern Yemen.
According to media sources, a massive campaign of arrests that the recruits of the so-called Fourth Brigade of the Mountain Infantry, led by Abu Bakr Al-Jabouli, loyal to the Islah Party, carried out, came against the backdrop of the explosion of explosive devices targeting one of the brigade’s military vehicles two months ago.
On July 25, an explosive device targeted a military vehicle belonging to a battalion of the “4th Mountain Infantry Brigade,” in the district, killing three recruits, during the pursuit of people were accused of killing the UN official, Muayyad Hamidi.
