MARIB, Sept. 07 (YPA) – Insan Organization for Rights and Freedoms condemned the kidnapping of the Omani traveler, Harith bin Mansour Al-Shereiqi, at one of the security checkpoints in Marib city, which is under the control of the Saudi-led coalition’s Islah militants.
In a statement, the organization pointed said that the areas controlled by the ” Presidential Leadership Council” loyal to the coalition in Marib has been witnessing state of insecurity and lawlessness, where the crimes of abduction and murdering against travelers are increased, the lasted of which was the recent kidnapping of workers affiliated with the organization Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF).
Insan called for an immediate release the kidnapped unconditionally.
It held the coalition and its militant responsible for the safety of the Omani traveler, calling for the arrest the perpetrators and bring them to justice.
“This incident is of great concern to travelers from these areas. She stressed the need to be cautious and take the necessary security measures when traveling through these areas,” the statement read.
It is noteworthy that the Omani traveler was kidnapped during an “Exploration Travel” to Yemen, in which he documented the picturesque landscapes, historical and tourist sites, and conveyed the authenticity of the social and cultural life of the Yemenis.
