Aden’s Workers Union threatens to declare comprehensive strike

ADEN, Sept. 05 (YPA) – The General Federation of Southern Trade Unions threatened on Monday to implement a comprehensive strike that would paralyze work in the southern provinces.

The Federation in the city of Aden said in a statement that the government loyal to the Saudi-led coalition “is imposing collective punishment on the Yemeni people with the aim of bringing them to their knees.”

At the same time, the Federation of Trade Unions threatened to declare a comprehensive strike and paralyze daily practical activity if the pro-coalition government did not address its mistakes.

In its statement, the Federation held the pro-coalition government and its president, Moein Abdulmalik, “responsible for the deterioration of economic and living conditions, the collapse of the local currency, and the insane rise in prices.”
