Injuries, clashes reported following Israeli military, Zionist settler attacks across occupied West Bank
OCCUPIED WEST BANK, Aug. 15 (YPA) – Several Palestinians were injured by live ammunition and others were detained on Friday evening during a series of attacks and clashes involving Israeli occupation forces and Zionist settlers across various areas of the occupied West Bank and East Quds (Jerusalem).
According to Palestinian field sources and the Palestinian Red Crescent, the incidents occurred as follows:
- Hebron (Al-Khalil): Two residents were wounded by live fire from Zionist settlers during an attack targeting residential homes in the Al-Udayseh area of Bani Naim. In Beit Ummar, settlers assaulted Hamada Kawamleh and struck him with a motorcycle while he was farming his land with his children, before Israeli occupation forces subsequently detained him.
- Ramallah: Clashes broke out on the outskirts of Al-Mughayyir village as local residents confronted a raid launched by Zionist settlers in the area.
- Quds (Jerusalem): Israeli occupation forces stormed the town of Hizma, closing its entrances while extensively firing tear gas canisters and stun grenades. Forces detained a young man and mistreated him after stopping his vehicle.
- Bethlehem: Clashes erupted in the town of Beit Fajjar following an incursion by Israeli occupation forces, who fired live ammunition, stun grenades, and tear gas toward residents.
- Northern West Bank: Zionist Settlers dressed in Israeli military uniforms assaulted a maintenance crew belonging to an electricity distribution company, briefly detaining two employees and seizing a sum of money from one of them.
