Rare Yemeni antiquities sold at auction in France
SANAA, Sept. 05 (YPA) – The Yemeni researcher specializing in antiquities, Abdullah Mohsen, revealed on Monday the sale of a group of rare Yemeni antiquities at a public auction in Paris.
Mohsen said on his Facebook page that among the Yemeni antiquities is an exceptional limestone funerary plaque that was apparently placed on the tomb of Ma’ini King “Al-Yafa Waqa” in the ancient city of “Nashan,” currently known as Al-Sawda in Jawf province.
Mohsen added, “I have not found a funeral tomb of such beauty, creativity, and clear, precise features.”
