Three Football Association officials kidnapped in Abyan

ABYAN, Sept. 05 (YPA) – Members of the Southern Transitional Council (STC) factions loyal to the UAE kidnapped on Monday three officials of the Yemeni Football Association in Abyan province.

According to informed sources, the heads of the Football Association branches in the provinces of Jawf, Marib, and Saada (Khaled Ali Mohsen, Saleh Mohammed Saleh Al-Hawani, and Ali Muthana Razih) were kidnapped by members of the “Security Belt” and were taken to an unknown destination.

The sources stated that Fahd Al-Marfadi, a leader of the STC factions, refused to release the three officials and their companions who were on their way to Aden in order to head for the Egyptian capital, Cairo, to attend the Federation’s General Assembly meeting.
