Saudi Arabia hints at autonomy for Yemen’s southern provinces

ADEN, Aug. 29 (YPA) – Saudi Arabia has hinted at autonomy for a number of southern provinces of Yemen, as part of a scheme to tear Yemen apart and target its national unity.

Abdullah Al Hatila, a journalist close to the Saudi regime, revealed the imminent declaration of self-rule for the provinces.

“Soon, Yemeni governorates will run their own affairs after being granted wide powers by the central government,” Al Hatila said in his post on X platform.

He pointed out that the provinces of Aden, Hadramout and Taiz would begin to manage their own affairs, stressing the rest of the provinces might be in the process of final arrangements.
