Shabwa tribes declare war on “Al-Amaliqa” factions

SHABWA, July 20 (YPA) – Baihan tribes in Shabwa province, eastern Yemen, threatened on Thursday to declare war on the “Al-Amaliqa Brigades” factions loyal to the Saudi-led coalition, whose violations against citizens in the province have expanded.

The sheikhs and notables of “Al Orif” tribe confirmed in a statement that they would not accept the existing humiliation and arbitrariness by the faction leaders and their elements in Baihan.

The tribes’ threat to the “Al-Amaliqa” factions came after the death of one of their sons, Hussein Abdullah al-Raqabi al-Orifi, last Sunday, by the factions’ gunfire near a military point.

The statement called on all the tribes of Baihan to rally in the “Al-Harajah” area to stand against the violations of the UAE-backed factions, and to determine the honorable public opinion of all the tribes.

This comes after a member of “Al-Amaliqa” opened fire on Al-Orifi following a technical malfunction that hit his car near one of the military points.
