WORLD, July 10 (YPA) – US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen said on Sunday that a recession in the United States cannot be completely ruled out, stressing that the country is still facing high inflation.
“A recession is “not completely off the table” even as the US economy remains strong,” Janet Yellen said in an interview on CBS.
According to the US Treasury secretary, the slowdown in the country’s economy is appropriate and normal.
She added, “We have a healthy economy, a great labor market, but with very high inflation. This is a concern for us and for the American people, but over time, I hope it will go down.”
