STC militias launch arrest campaign in Aden

ADEN, June 22 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militia launched a large-scale arrest campaign against citizens and leaders of the Southern Movement in Aden province.

The campaign comes due to calls of the Southern Movement for a popular revolution condemning the deterioration of living and service conditions in the coastal city of southern Yemen.

According to local sources, the STC militia kidnapped the leader of the revolutionary movement, Salim Alawi Al-Mukhairi, after storming his house in Alsi Clas neighborhood.

The sources pointed out that the transitional elements attacked al-Mukhairi after he was arrested and taken to prison.
