Sanaa announces new decrease in tariffs for electric power units

SANAA, June 21 (YPA) – The Ministry of Electricity and Energy in Sanaa held a press conference on Wednesday to announce the new tariff price for the electric power unit sold to consumers by the owners of private generators.

The Minister of Electricity and Energy, Dr. Muhammad Al-Bukhaiti, said during the conference that, based on the price of a liter of diesel recently set by the oil company, the tariff for a unit of electric power by the General Electricity Corporation is 234 riyals per kWh, adding that the tariff for a unit of electric energy sold to consumers by owners of private generators is 248 riyals per kWh.
