SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The National Center for Meteorology and Early Warning has forecast scattered rainfall across parts of several provinces of Yemen.
In its weather bulletin, the center stated that scattered shower may prevail over parts of Mahweet, Dhamar, Rayma, Ibb, Dhalea, Lahj, Abyan, and Shabwa.
Additionally, scattered rainfall, sometimes accompanied by thunder, also may be expected across parts of Saada, Hajjah, Amran, Sanaa, Bayda, Taiz, Jawf, Marib, Hadramaut, and the western and southern coasts.
The center warned citizens to avoid valleys and floodplains as a result of rock slides and strong downdrafts for protecting themselves.
It also warned citizens to avoid poor visibility on roads and mountainous areas due to clouds, rain, and fog.
The center advised citizens to follow safety measures to prevent thunderstorms and to avoid unstable slopes, calling on relevant authorities to take precautionary measures to protect lives and property.
