Man, his wife died inside car after being swept away by torrential rains in Taiz

TAIZ, June 10 (YPA) – A man and his wife died after being washed away by torrential rains in Taiz province, southwestern Yemen, local sources said.

According to the sources, the torrential rains washed away a car carrying a man and his wife in Al-Shamayateen district, south of Taiz city, on Friday.

The sources identified the husband as Abdullah Abdul Qadir.

The sources added that the couple were on their way to the village of Al-Sira, which belongs to the same area, where they live.

The sources pointed out that the families were able to recover the bodies after hours of searching, pointing out that the floods caused significant damage to the vehicle, which crashed completely.
