MOGADISHU, June 10 (YPA) – At least 22 people, including two children, were killed in a munitions explosion in Somalia, about 120 kilometers south of the capital, Mogadishu, the district’s deputy commissioner said on Friday.
“A disaster occurred near Qoryoley. Innocent children were killed in an explosion caused by mortar shells,” the official, Abdi Ahmed Ali, told a news conference.
The official did not specify the source of these ammunitions or when they were placed in the aforementioned place.
