Russian forces repel Ukrainian attack in Zaporozhye Region

WORLD, June 10 (YPA) – The Russian army repelled a new offensive attempt by Ukrainian forces in The Zaporozhye Region, Volodymyr Rogov, leader of the “We are with Russia” movement, said.

“Units of Ukrainian forces launched another attack last night,” Rogov wrote on his Telegram channel, adding that the Russian military had reacted strongly to the Ukrainian army’s attempted advance.

He explained that the movement of Ukrainian forces was preceded by heavy shelling and then Ukrainian armored vehicles and military units began to move on the contact line to launch a new offensive.

“Everything indicates that the main work today will be in the area of the village of Raputino, the Orikovsky region, and the Zaporozhye region,” the official added.

On Friday, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that Ukrainian forces had begun a counter-offensive, stressing at the same time that the tasks set by Kiev had not been able to achieve in any of the combat zones.
