Explosion targets general office in Lahj

LAHJ, April 18 (YPA) – An explosive device hit on Tuesday a general office of Lahj province, south of Yemen.

Sources familiar with the matter said that the device, planted by unknown persons, went off inside the office in the city of Al-Houta during a meeting of several officials.

This coincided with developments in the province, which is celebrating the arrival of the former defense minister, Mahmoud Al-Subaihi, who was part of the prisoner exchange deal, and the continuation of the debate about his future direction in light of his refusal to join the ranks of the UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC) militias.
