Top official in Islah Party leaves Seiyun city

HADRAMOUT, Jan. 22 (YPA) – A prominent leader in the Islah party suddenly left on Sunday the city of Seiyun, the center of the districts of Wadi Hadramout.

Local sources familiar with the matte deputy Hadramout province for the affairs of the Valley and Desert districts affiliated with the coalition, Hisham Al-Saeedi, left Seiyun with his family members to his hometown in “Diyar Al-Saeedi” in the Eqran area, of al-Qatn district, northwest of the city.

The source confirmed that the leader, Al-Saeedi, emptied the government building, the guest house, in which he was staying with his family, of its contents and moved to his area, in addition to evacuating his office.

The sudden departure of the Islah civil and military leaders of Seiyun with their families during the past two weeks portended an explosion of the situation between the Emirates-backed militia and the militants of the pro-Islah “First Military Zone”, amid an unprecedented escalation and mobilization of the militia from Aden, Dhalea, Abyan and Shabwa towards the camps of the UAE-affiliated city of Mukalla.
