Coalition abandons war-wounded from Taiz sons

TAIZ, Oct. 18 (YPA) – The Saudi-led coalition’s wounded committee announced on Tuesday in Taiz that it suspended its work providing medical services towards dozens of the wounded due to the lack of funding.

In a press conference held in Taiz, the committee confirmed its intention to stop continuing its tasks due to the betrayal of the recruits wounded in Taiz, and the failure to allocate a budget from the coalition to continue treating them.

“It found the coalition-backed government’s doors closed in its face,” the conference said, adding that the head of the government, Maeen Abdul-Malik, refused to respond to the committee’s demands and did not interact with the ongoing demonstrations of the wounded.
The committee held the coalition and the government responsible for the consequences of their failure to the wounded.
