Massive fire devours several houses in Lahj

LAHJ, Sept. 07 (YPA) – A huge fire broke out on Tuesday in a shop in Lahj province, southern Yemen, local sources reported.

According to the source, the fire broke out in one of the electronics stores in the October market in the Yafea area, north of the province, owned by Salah Khamis.

The sources explained that the citizens were unable to put out the fire, which caused the fire to spread to neighboring houses.

Weeks ago, a similar fire devoured several shops south of Lahj after authorities affiliated with the Saudi-Emirati coalition factions ignored residents’ calls to put out the blaze.
