UAE-backed Shabwa governor takes dangerous step against Islah

SHABWA, Sept. 03 (YPA) – Shabwa governor, appointed by the UAE, Awad Al-Awlaki, took a dangerous step against the Islah authorities in the city of Marib.

“The governor directed Shabwa’s defense forces to seize the oil tankers heading to Marib at Alsaeid junction,” a local source said.

The source confirmed that al-Awlaki seeking to confiscate large quantities of fuel from Marib stations to cover his failure to provide fuel for Shabwa electricity since the beginning of this year.

Earlier, Al-Awlaki accused the Islah authorities of smuggling fuel from Hadramout to Marib.
