TEHRAN, Sept. 03 (YPA) – The Iranian Foreign Ministry said on Saturday that there is a new Saudi approach, based on the belief in the necessity of talking and negotiating to resume the two countries’ official relations, describing this as an “important development.”
This came in a press statement by the Ministry’s spokesman, Nasser Kanaani, on Saturday, when he visited the headquarters of the official Iranian news agency IRNA.
In response to a question about the status of the talks with Saudi Arabia, and the relevant details, Kanaani said: “We have different issues because we have a dialogue with Saudi Arabia. Our issues are bilateral and regional.”
He added, “What is important is that a new view has been formed in Saudi Arabia that we should talk and be able to resume our official relations, and this is a very good thing.”
