FM offers condolences to his Pakistani counterpart on flood victims
SANAA, Aug. 29 (YPA) – The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Hisham Sharaf, on Monday sent a cable of condolences to the Foreign Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, for the victims of the floods that hit the country.
In the cable, the Foreign Minister expressed the condolences of the Yemeni government and people to the government and people of the brotherly Islamic Republic of Pakistan and to the families of the victims, wishing a speedy recovery for the wounded.
The foreign minister pointed out that what happened in Pakistan underscores the need for concerted efforts to mitigate the effects of climate change and the importance of providing support to affected countries by the international community, led by industrialized countries.
