Foreign Ministry condemns coalition’s persistence in destroying telecommunications sector in Yemen
SANAA, Feb. 14 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed on Monday its strong condemnation of the crime of bombing the main building of the international communications company “TeleYemen” by the US-Saudi-Emirati coalition warplanes.
In a statement, the ministry condemned the apparent intention of the coalition to destroy the telecommunications sector by directly targeting TeleYemen, which is a civil service institution linked to the daily lives of citizens and humanitarian workers in Yemen.
The statement noted that this crime comes within an endless series of crimes and violations against the Yemeni people, denouncing the silence of the international community regarding these crimes.
The Ministry also called on the United Nations and international organizations to assume their responsibilities to condemn such crimes and work to prevent the targeting of cities and civilians.
In its statement, the Foreign Ministry renewed the commitment of the Salvation Government to work for a real peace based on ending the siege, aggression, and all forms of interference in Yemeni affairs.
The Ministry called on the Security Council to declare the coalition as an obstructing party to peace, emphasizing at the same time that the Salvation Government preserves its full and legitimate right to take all necessary measures to protect and defend the Yemeni people.
