Sanaa forces announce liberation of 12,250 square km in 2021
SANAA, Jan. 02 (YPA) – The Yemeni army spokesman, Brigadier General Yahya Sarie, on Sunday announced that the armed forces succeeded in liberating large areas of the country estimated at 12,250 square kilometers in the provinces of Marib, Jawf, Bayda, Hodeida, and Shabwa.
In a press conference held this afternoon, Brig. Gen. Sarie confirmed that the year 2021 witnessed many victories achieved by the army forces and the popular committees on different fronts.
“Responding to the Saudi-led coalition’s continued aggression and military escalation, the army and the popular committees carried out, during the year 202, 194 successful offensive operations and 382 abruptness operations,” Sarie said.
He pointed out that the offensive military operations included: “Al-Nasr Al-Mobin” operation in its three phases, “Al-Ba’ss Al-Shadid”, “Fajr Al-Hurriyah”, “Fajr Al-Entisar”, “Rabie Al-Nasr” in its two phases, and “Fajr Al-Sahra’a”.
