Iran describes final statement issued by GCC towards it as unconstructive position

SANAA, Dec. 15 (YPA) – Iran has considered the final statements issued by Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) towards Tehran as the unconstructive and incorrect position of some GCC member states.

Iran’s foreign ministry spokesman Saeed Khatibzadeh called on some GCC member states to reconsider their vision and approaches to regional issues and replace the course of repeated accusations with the method of cooperation.”

He expressed Iran’s concern about the “destructive effects of the Israeli enemy presence in the Gulf on the stability of the region.”

“Iran does not tolerate any interference in its peaceful nuclear program, its missile defense program, or matters related to its deterrent military and defense policies,” Khatibzadeh added.

On Tuesday, the GCC announced, at its 42nd summit held in Riyadh, it looks forward to the new Iranian administration having a positive role in easing tension and building confidence.
