NCM warns of weather fluctuations, climate changes in several provinces

SANAA, Sept. 22 (YPA) – The National Center of Meteorology (NCM) on Wednesday expected cloudy conditions and rain, accompanied by thunderstorms, in separate areas of the mountainous heights during the coming hours.

The center stated, in its weather bulletin, that the rain includes the heights of Saada province in the north to Lahj province in the south, and in the east to the interior hills of the provinces of Abyan, Shabwa, Hadramout, and Mahra in the afternoon and evening periods.

The Center pointed out that the weather in the coastal areas will be clear to partly cloudy, hot, and humid during the day, with the possibility of scattered rain on separate areas of the western, southern, and eastern coasts and the adjacent interior areas.

The atmosphere of the desert areas will be awake to partly cloudy, hot during the day, with the possibility of the formation of rain clouds over parts of the deserts of Mahra, Hadramout, and Shabwa.

The Center warned citizens in areas where rain is expected from the flow of torrents in valleys. It also warned drivers in bends and mountain slopes of reduced horizontal visibility as a result of precipitation and fog formation, and the sea-goers and fishermen in the Socotra archipelago from the turbulence of the sea and the high waves.
