Army takes control over Harib district of Marib

MARIB, Sept. 22 (YPA) – The Yemeni army forces carried out on Wednesday a large-scale military operation in Marib province, managing to control over Harib district and strategic areas.

According to local sources, dozens of two sides were killed and wounded during fierce battles, dead and wounded, in which the Sanaa forces were able to control the whole Harib district’s security administration and securing the areas of Al-Qal’a and Sharjan.

The sources confirmed that the control of Harib district would lead to cutting of the Saudi-led coalition forces’ supply routes between the Marib and Shabwa provinceز

In turn, the coalition is striving through unsuccessful attempts to stop the advance of the Yemeni army forces towards the city of Marib by intensifying air strikes towards the positions that the army has seized in Al-Souma’a in Bayda.
