Health Minister stresses importance of developing scientific research to improve health services

SANAA, Aug. 02 (YPA) – Minister of Health, Taha Al-Mutawakel, stressed importance of developing scientific research to improve health services.

The Minister pointed out that there are 280 consultants and internal specialists, and between 2,800 and 3,000 others specialized in all medical specialties.

“Yemen needs for a broad medical and scientific renaissance in various disciplines, especially in light of the Saudi-led coalition’s recruitment of Yemeni doctors and the emptying of hospitals of specialists and consultants.

Al-Mutawakel pointed to the need to intensify efforts to continue the educational process, educational attainment, qualification and training of cadres, in light of the country’s need for more than 18 thousand specialists.
