Bloomberg reveals fate of Washington loyalists after its withdrawal from Afghanistan

SANAA, Jul. 03 (YPA) – US President Joe Biden has asked Tajikistan, Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan to host some 9,000 Afghans loyal to Washington, Bloomberg reported Friday.

According to Bloomberg, Washington is preparing to transfer thousands of Afghans who cooperated with the US military to other countries in order to protect them from possible retaliation from the Taliban after the withdrawal of US forces, but authorities did not guarantee that they would later obtain visas to enter the United States.

Republican Congressman Mike McCall said he had “discussed the evacuation plan with Biden administration officials, and among the countries to which evacuees may be transferred are the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, Qatar and Kuwait.”

According to McCall, the US evacuation of Afghan translators at risk and their families will also be included, and the total number could be as high as about 50,000.
Last week, the Pentagon announced that the schedule for troop withdrawal from Afghanistan could change, with conditions changing in the country, after the Taliban attacked Afghan government bases and units.
