Artillery shelling targets Saudi troops in Jizan

JIZAN, June 2 (YPA) – The Yemeni army on Friday evening waged an intensive artillery shelling on gatherings of Saudi army forces and militants loyal to them in Jizan region, a military official told Yemen Press Agency.

The artillery shelling targeted the Saudi troops in al-Madrasa village, which resulted in direct causalities in their ranks.

Earlier the day, five Saudi-backed militants were killed in sniping operations in al-Ma’yeen valley in Jizan region.

The artillery force also destroyed a tank belonging to Saudi army at al-Ramdha hill, and bombed Saudi-backed militants’ gatherings in several sites in the same region.
