Zarif: America must return to its obligations in nuclear agreement, lift entire embargo

SANAA, April 13 (YPA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif stated that America must immediately return to its obligations in the framework of the nuclear agreement and lift all forms of embargoes imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran.

Zarif said in his joint press conference with his Russian counterpart Sergey Lavrov in Tehran today, Tuesday, that he held serious and friendly talks to achieve more cooperation in the field of lifting the embargo.

He added: We value Russia’s strong position against the sabotage act in Natanz, and affirm the need for continued cooperation and for America to immediately return to its commitments and lift all forms of embargoes. After verification of this, Iran will return to the implementation of the nuclear agreement.

On the imposition of the embargo on a number of Iranian officials and institutions by the European Union, he said: Europe must return from the empty and baseless reviews of “human rights” as they describe and looking at the facts. Europeans have to think about their credibility. Europe is not in the moral high ground. Europe cannot change the world. Europe, whose xenophobia and Islam have created terrible conditions for Muslims, has neither the reputation nor the status to impose a ban on Iranian officials. The sooner the Europeans realize this, the sooner they will notice it.
