SANAA, April 13 (YPA) – The Israeli Occupation Army announced that it will close all crossings leading to “Israel” from the West Bank and Gaza Strip for a period of two days, starting Tuesday night, on the occasion of “Memorial and Independence Day”.
The Israeli army said that “the closure, which is usually imposed during religious and national holidays, begins at seven in the evening on Tuesday and continues until 12:01 on Friday morning, pending an evaluation of the situation.”
The Israeli army confirmed that “humanitarian, medical and special cases” will be excluded, with the approval of the Coordinator of the Ministry of Defense for government activities in the territories.
The closure will affect tens of thousands of Palestinians who work legally in the occupation entity every day, most of them in the construction and maintenance sectors, while Israelis will be able to move between the West Bank and Israel.
