Reuters: Saudi-led coalition held 13 fuel tankers off Hodeida for over 6 months
SANAA, March 20 (YPA) – The fuel shortage in Yemen has stopped water pumps and generators in hospitals and disrupted aid supplies in a country where 80 percent of the population needs help,
“Reuters” Agency reported on Saturday that the United Nations data showed that as of March 17, 2020, the Saudi-led coalition warships off Hodeida province had detained at least 13 fuel tankers, some of them for more than six months, despite having obtained permission from the United Nations.
“Four oil derivatives-loaded vessels were canceled and left without berthing at Hodeida port after waiting for months,” the agency added.
The capital, Sanaa, and the other Yemeni provinces are witnessing a suffocating crisis in oil derivatives and foodstuffs due to the blockade imposed by the coalition forces on Yemen.
