MARIB, March 16 (YPA) – A Saudi officer of the Saudi-led coalition was kidnapped on Monday from a hotel in Marib city, east of the capital Sanaa.
According to local sources in Marib, one of the Saudi officers holding the rank of captain was kidnapped by unknown gunmen from inside ‘Balqis’ Hotel in the city.
The kidnapped Saudi officer works as a supervisor in the “Joint Operations Room” of the coalition forces in Marib, the sources added.
In turn, Sheikh Hamad Al-Shabwani confirmed in a post on Facebook Monday evening that Colonel Omar Saleh Al-Jaradi, an officer of the “Hadi government” forces, had lured the kidnapped Saudi officer to the hotel in exchange for an amount of 200,000 Saudi riyals from a cell affiliated with Al-Qaeda.
